How it works:

Our application combines connectivity, Workflower and SMS messages to remind patients of their appointments:

The application takes the relevant information about the appointments from the EPR or the appointment scheduling system and, each day, retrieves the appointments for which a reminder is to be sent.
You decide how many days before the appointment a notification should be sent, and whether additional information should be included with the reminder.
The application checks the mobile phone numbers and takes care of the SMS text structure. Depending on the specialty or type of examination, you may provide specific text.
The solution then instructs the cloud platform’s web services to deliver the SMS messages.

Frequently asked questions

Which interfaces does the Patient Reminders application include?

The application can interface with the SMS provider of your choice. We offer a smooth integration with Spryng, and others, at an affordable price.
The application receives SIU messages from the appointment scheduling system, and from there composes the SMS texts.
Reminders can be generated on the basis of a variety of triggers or inputs from various data sources.
It is also possible to retrieve the mobile phone numbers from the HIS using ADT messages.

Can this application be used for other notifications?

The application was built with the Workflower Notification Center, which enables you to send all kinds of messages: communications about payments, vaccination reminders to employees, the delivery of travel or other certificates etc.

In the Configuration Center, you decide:

which and how many messages to send;
through which channel and provider;
whether to use a generic text or a specific message for a department or examination;
how many attempts the application will make to deliver the message when the recipient’s server is not accessible;
how long to store the notification data.

What do we need in order to use the Patient Reminder application?

As an Amaron customer, you can run the application on your Amaron application server (the same server you use for Amaron Watch and Workflower).

What technology does the application use?

This application has been built using the Amaron Workflower platform: a low-code platform that allows you to configure and automate all kinds of processes across your hospital’s software applications. Workflower is not limited to the clinical domain, but can also be used in administration, logistics, HR or a combination of areas.

The Workflower applications integrate with the Amaron Connect platform (EAI) to enable the seamless exchange of data with your hospital’s information systems and with the data platforms of the national and regional authorities, or other external applications, for example, AI.
