To support the call centres handling Covid-19 contact tracing, Belgian public health institute Sciensano has created a database that collects all relevant data from hospitals and laboratories. With the help of Workflower and interfaces, hospitals can automate the transfer of data to this database, to make it available safely and quickly to the contact tracers.
Four message types have been defined for data transfers from hospitals:
- Message 1: sends the data related to a request for a specific Covid-19 test, including metadata about the patient (whether or not the patient works in healthcare, data about the social context, etc.).
- Message 2: communicates the results of a requested Covid-19 laboratory test.
- Message 3: reports the suspicion of a false negative Covid-19 test result.
- Message 4: indicates a strong suspicion that someone has a Covid-19 infection, but no test could be performed for this person.
