With our open, standards-based, data integration solution, data flows smoothly between the various systems and devices in your care organisation.
Amaron Connect is an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) platform that we built with in-house integration tools and Mirth® Connect by NextGen HealthCare.
Offering broad applicability, it includes an electronic service bus (ESB), a message broker and an application programming interface (API) for smooth data exchange using web services.
All communication occurs via a clearly defined, process-driven workflow to ensure that the various interoperability standards are applied correctly. Where possible, we employ IHE integration profiles.

All our interfaces follow international data interoperability standards, such as HL7, DICOM, XDS etc. We can also provide any necessary translation components.
As a founding member of HL7 Belgium and an active member of IHE Belgium, we are contributing to the development of tomorrow’s standards. The IHE global partnership aims to standardise and harmonise the exchange of information between computer systems in the care sector. Not only do we closely adhere to the IHE guidelines, we also actively participate in all kinds of IHE initiatives, such as Connectathons, workgroups and meetings.
“The cooperation with Amaron has been very smooth. The Amaron employees were easy to connect with, and our questions were taken seriously and answered quickly. The care staff in our hospital are delighted with the new possibilities.”
Bert van Broekhoven, ICT staff member, ZorgSaam hospital (the Netherlands)
“We continue to invest in innovative applications for our care and support services. This goes hand in hand with new, more complex integrations. Of course, we are also very pleased that, with Amaron, we have the knowledge in-house to realise these integrations based on international standards.”
Stefaan Vansteenkiste, Director Heilig Hart Hospital in Lier (Belgium)

Most of the images generated in the hospital end up nicely in the PACS or VNA environment. Yet there are still some images that slip through the cracks. For example, what do you do when a patient who is referred to your healthcare facility brings a DVD with images? How do you handle non-DICOM images? What about images taken in the operating theatre or in the gynaecology department? How do you integrate those in your central archive in a structured way?
“I was impressed by the speed with which Amaron carried out this project. The Agile method ensured that the implementation, validation, feedback and corrections cycles were short, which meant that the solution was in production within a tight deadline.”
Antoine Lacroix, Project manager, ICT Unit, UCL university hospital Namur (Belgium)
